Black Belt Testing 9/18/10 (11:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
We will start with the pretesting at Tiger Claw at 11 a.m. This portion is closed to all except black belts and black belt canidates. The second half will start at 1:30 and will be open to all other friends, families and students. Family members are invited to come at 1:00 to set up your seats and camera locations.
ATTENTION TESTERS ... Be sure to get plenty of rest and eat well before the test!
A pot luck dinner will be served after the test for the families of the testers and our instructors.
Black Belt Ceremony 9/25/10 (11:00 AM - 11:30 AM)
Come celebrate with the black belt testers and their families in this traditional Tiger Claw candle light ceremony. Be sure to wear your uniform. Participants in the ceremony need to arrive by 10:45 at the latest.
1st degrees wear all white with black collar uniforms.
2nd degrees and above wear white jacket, black pants.
Instructors wear black top, white pants and be prepared to take "staff" photos afterwards.
Koryo Gumdo Battle Encampment 10/9/10 (2:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
The Spring battle has arrived. Each event has been better than the last. It's open to EVERYONE. If you are not a Gumdo student, and do not have equipment, you must purchase the sparring sword and warrior protection helmet. We will be meeting up and starting at 2 p.m. and will battle all day and into the night. Talk with any of the students from our past encampments ... guaranteed fun! Parents are welcome to come and enjoy the day with us also! You can enjoy some grilled hamburgers and hotdogs for dinner and then we will roast marshmellows and tell our battle stories before heading home for the evening. Parents will need to pick up your child no later than 8 p.m. Sign up at the front desk at Tiger Claw. This is a rain or shine event ... battles do not wait for the weather!

Our new cycle (approx. 2 months) begins tonight for the adult students. Last half hour is optional for those that want to spar.

Testing for all belt levels and all ages. Test starts at 5 p.m., but you are welcome to come as early as 4:00 to train on your own until the test. We should be done by 7 at the latest. Best of luck to all of those that are testing!
TC Challenge - Gumdo Sparring 2/10/10 (11:00 AM - 12:30 PM)
KORYO GUMDO SPARRING
This tournament is open to EVERYONE ... not just Tiger Claw students. So invite your friends, neighbors and family members. We will start with a 10 minute seminar on the rules and etiquette of competition. This event is designed to give the average student the chance to compete in a safe and local environment and will give the seasoned competitor more experience. Swords and helmets will be supplied for students that are not in our Koryo Gumdo program. This event is open to all ages and you do not have to be a student to participate! Prepay and sign up at the front desk to get the special price of $10 each. You will pay $15 on the day of the event.

If you are interested in being an instructor at Tiger Claw some day, this is your ticket. You will learn the techniques that our staff use to give the ultimate level of instruction to our students.
This is a free class for anyone 11 years old through adult, and green belt and above. Simply come to the class to become a part of this fun program.

This fun course is for all levels... even if you are below green. Simply show up. We will be discussing the training, techniques and advanced strikes to all that attend. This will be a lot of fun ... don't miss it. Note: we will be using rebreakable boards during this seminar. If you choose to work with wood, they will be for sale for $1.50 each at the event.
